Since my original post about Singapore GP, betting, I’ve taken in some more information about the track and the drivers. I’ll start by reviewing the bets, leans, and considerations from the last article and then provide some additional commentary before diving into new betting markets.
Weekend Schedule:
Practice 1 – ESPN2 – 5:30 AM Friday
Practice 2 – ESPN2 – 9:00 AM Friday
Practice 3 – ESPN2 – 5:25 AM Saturday
Qualifying – ESPN2 – 8:55 AM Saturday
Race – ESPN – 7:55 AM Sunday
Bet:
George Russell to Podium +450 – I don’t love the value here as much as I did earlier in the week. Looking back at his stats vs. Hamilton he is further off his teammate than he was last year. This feels like a bet I made because he is one of my favorite drivers which is a habit I have to get away from.
Zhou Guanyu Top 10 +650 – I don’t love backing him, but the price is good compared to others and with so many safety car possibilities there is value here.
Lean:
Max Verstappen to Win -350 – I’m liking this one far less now. It seems Red Bull’s advantages are going to have less of an impact in Singapore, but Max is still damn good.
Consider:
Lando Norris to Podium +180 – I really like Lando here, but the price just isn’t really high enough for a podium bet.
Lance Stroll Top 10 -105 – I need to see some practice before I revisit and upgrade to this bet.
Pierre Gasly Top 10 -105 – This bet is growing on me more, but Stroll has a better car so I should make both if I’m going to make one.
Winning Margin Under 6 seconds +150 – This one is still sounding appearing as well.
There are a few notes and considerations that I’ll have in mind when looking at the full betting menu now available.
I still have no idea what to do with Ferrari, they were good here last year which shocks me given the circuit. I may need to be more careful than I thought fading Sainz, but I do think Leclerc will be the better driver in Singapore. Tire degradation could be an issue for Ferrari in the race itself with all of the turns.
Weather seems to be a concern, so when possible I’d like to only bet drivers who are strong in the wet. I love my Russell bet more now given the rain possibility (30% to 50% last I saw)
There may be some value on Magnussen T10, Haas has horrible race pace though so this would be more of a qualifying bet on Haas.
There may be some value betting against Alexander Albon in Singapore. He is a great driver, but Williams car will struggle.
Other Bet Considerations:
Verstappen and Norris to Finish in the Top 2 of Free Practice 1 +800 – This could be a fun bet to take a shot at.
Driver besides Red Bull to win qualifying +160
Lando Norris to Win Qualifying +1400 – I’m leaning on making this one, but hard to pull the trigger.
Lando Norris > Oscar Piastri in Qualifying -250 – I love the value here.
Yuki Tsunoda > Liam Lawson in Qualifying -286 – Lawson has so little experience here.
Charles Leclerc +275 Podium in Race – With Sainz +400 it is hard to decide what to do here. I like Leclerc better, but this much better?
Verstappen and Perez Top 2 +150 – Going to hold off on this one and hope the price goes up after FP1.
Verstappen and Norris to finish Top 3 +200 – This may be safer.
Verstappen, Perez, Norris in order of finish +700
Yuki Tsunoda > Liam Lawson -250 – Still value in the race, only concern is Tsunoda crashing out.
Lando Norris > Oscar Piastri -275 – Still value here as well
Alfa Romeo > AlphaTauri +105 – I like the value here with Lawson’s inexperience and Yuki’s tendency to be too far on the edge. AlphaTauri may struggle here too.
Driver to finish last of all classified drivers – Sargeant +450 – This is a bet right now with the Williams Struggling and Magnussen liking this track.
Lewis Hamilton +1100 fastest lap – He just seems to go for these, this could have some value.
Kevin Magnussen > Nico Hulkenberg +130 – I’m going to hold off on this one to see if the line improves. It just may be the only way I get a bet in on Kevin.
Pierre Gasly > Alexander Albon +110 – This is just a fade of the Williams Car.
Guanyu Zhou > Liam Lawson +100 – Fade the inexperience.
Nico Hulkenberg > Logan Sargeant +100 – Fade inexperience and Williams
Verstappen to win the race by 5 seconds or more – No +160 – Any late safety car would cash this, plus Verstappan may not win this one who knows.
Winning Margin Under 5 seconds +280
Winning Margin Between 5 and 10 seconds +300
Max Verstappen to win race and Lando Norris to Finish on Podium +320
Gasly to be the highest finishing car that isn’t a Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, or Red Bull +250 – I like this bet right now.
Bet:
Verstappen and Norris to Finish in the Top 2 of Free Practice 1 +800
Driver besides Red Bull to win qualifying +160
Lando Norris > Oscar Piastri in Qualifying -250
Yuki Tsunoda > Liam Lawson in Qualifying -286
George Russell to Podium +450 – Now +300 so that makes me feel better about the bet I made earlier in the week
Lance Stroll Top 10 -105 – I moved this bet up from a consideration. The price hasn’t moved, but the car has to be good here and Stroll should be able to manage a T10.
Zhou Guanyu Top 10 +650
Charles Leclerc +275 Podium in Race
Verstappen and Norris to finish Top 3 +200
Yuki Tsunoda > Liam Lawson -250
Lando Norris > Oscar Piastri -275
Alfa Romeo > AlphaTauri +105
Driver to finish last of all classified drivers – Sargeant +450
Pierre Gasly > Alexander Albon +110
Guanyu Zhou > Liam Lawson +100
Nico Hulkenberg > Logan Sargeant +100
Winning Margin Under 5 seconds +280
Winning Margin Between 5 and 10 seconds +300
Max Verstappen to win race and Lando Norris to Finish on Podium +320
Gasly to be the highest finishing car that isn’t a Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, or Red Bull +250
Lean:
Max Verstappen to Win -350 – Unless he dominates practice I won’t be betting this one.
Lando Norris to Win Qualifying +1400 – I want to see how practice goes before I pull the trigger here.
Lewis Hamilton +1100 fastest lap – I want to wait to see more of practice.
Kevin Magnussen > Nico Hulkenberg +130 – I couldn’t quite pull the trigger on this one, but I’ve heard MAG loves this track.
Consider:
Lando Norris to Podium +180 – Now +225 – The price has improved, but I don’t like that it is moving against me. I grabbed him in other ways so a likely pass.
Pierre Gasly Top 10 -105 – Now +120 – I’m invested enough in Gasly will leave this as a pass even though the price has gotten better.
Verstappen and Perez Top 2 +150 – The price doesn’t feel high enough yet, but with Perez being good on street circuits This feels likely.
Verstappen, Perez, Norris in order of finish +700 – I have these bets other ways, price doesn’t feel high enough.
